About 30 km to the north we find the Archaeological Park of Egnazia, Monopoli and Polignano a Mare, ancient fishing villages with evocative historic centres and beautiful beaches. To the north (80 km) we find Bari, the gateway to the Orient, whilst heading south we encounter first the natural reserve of Torre Guaceto, then Brindisi to reach Lecce, capital of the Baroque. Moving towards the West there is Taranto, heart of Magna Graecia and finally Matera, characteristic for its sassi and European Capital of Culture 2019.
The nearest airports and ports are Brindisi (30 minutes) and Bari (60 minutes).
