This vacation home is located on a hill above the long sandy beaches of Pescoluse, also called "Maldive del Salento", in a large private olive grove. The views of the sea and the beautiful sunsets are unique from there. The location is particularly quiet and airy and even in midsummer. You can reach the beaches in about three minutes by car. In the area there is no noise as of pizzerias, bar, lines of cars, mopeds and pedestrians which is not so common in Italy near the sea. Pescoluse is situated between Gallipoli and Santa Maria di Leuca, the southernmost point of the boot heel on the Ionian Sea. The house has two bedrooms with air conditioning. In one room there is an extra large double bed (180 x 200 cm) and a single sofa bed, in the other two single beds which can become a double bed (160X190) and a single sofa bed. In the bathroom there is a shower, a sink, a toilet and a bidet. In the guest bathroom there is a washing machine. Thanks to solar energy there is plenty of hot water available. The house has WIFI (free). The two bedrooms have a computer desk each. In the living room there is a kitchenette with gas stove, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, toaster. The room is equipped with air conditioning and there is a dining table and satellite TV. Sofa beds provide additional sleeping options. The house is also habitable in winter. The air conditioning works well as a warm air dispenser and the living room has a wood stove which can heat the whole house. A large glass door leads from the living area to the large panoramic terrace, this is shaded and offers a very nice view of the sea. Here are a table, chairs, loungers that invite you to eat, relax and play. The private land is about 8000 square meters. Children and pets can enjoy a lot of freedom. Behind the house there is a large parking space, also covered for two cars, a comfortable outdoor shower and a large stone barbecue. A cot and a high chair are available free of charge upon request. Upon request, the owner also tries to accommodate other needs of the children, if possible. Pets are welcome. Along the Pescoluse beach there are bars, restaurants and some small shops. Supermarkets are located in Salve about 4 km away and in nearby Presicce. You can also find pharmacies, banks, post offices, bars, restaurants and other shops. Also in the next seaside resort Torre Vado, about 1.2 km from Pescoluse, there is a pharmacy, small grocery stores and a fish shop. Behind the beaches begin the olive groves on the hills which also provide a good opportunity for walking and cycling. Even small towns often have a local center with small architectural gems. A visit to Santa Maria di Leuca (old mansions), Gallipoli (La Bella - The beautiful), Lecce (baroque town), Otranto is recommended. The Salento, also Salentine peninsula is a subregion of Italy in the southern part of Puglia, between the Ionian Sea to the west and the Adriatic Sea to the east. The inhabitants of this area differ from the rest of the Puglia region due to cultural and linguistic differences. From a historical point of view the Salento has belonged over several centuries to the ancient Terra d'Otranto. One can find a particular landscape, architecture and gastronomy here. The Salento is of course ideal for a beach holiday in the long summer but also much more and not only in summer.
